The Lex-Ham Community Band announces BandWidth 2011 – a showcase of community-based bands from around the Twin Cities for 12:30 to 5:45 p.m., Sunday, May 22 at the Landmark Center, 75 West 5th Street, in downtown Saint Paul.

The event features:

• 12:30 - Minnesota State Band – the official band of the State of Minnesota and has performed throughout Minnesota since 1898;
• 1:15 - Capital City Wind Ensemble - a 25-member band, comprised mainly of City of Saint Paul Employees, retirees, friends and relatives;
• 2:00 - Brio Brass - a 35-member Brass Swing Band;
• 2:45 - Radio in the Desert – a modern jazz ensemble;
• 3:30 - Fridley City Band – a 40-member concert band performing around the Fridley area for over 50 years;
• 4:15 - Optimum Trajectory - a jazz sextet in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, and the
• 5:00 - Lex-Ham Community Band – a 45-member concert band centered in the Lexington-Hamline neighborhood of Saint Paul

The event, free to the public, will provide people with an opportunity to hear classic concert band and jazz music performed by several of the top volunteer-based ensembles in the Twin Cities area.
