The musical, Quilters, is a series of scenes involving
Sarah McKendree Bonham and her daughters as their pioneer life experience is
represented by quilting and quilt square patterns.
Quilters is based on the book, "The
Quilters: Women and Domestic Art" by Patricia Cooper and Norma Bradley
Allen.
The play was first produced at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts in 1984, received numerous TONY award nominations on Broadway, and has been performed by many theatres across the country.
