Audience and Protest by Vaclav Havel March 10-12, 2006 |
The Lex-Ham Community Theater is working with
Czech & Slovak Cultural Center
Czech & Slavak Sokol Minnesota
The Office of the Czech Honorary Consul for Minnesota and
Minnesota International Center to present two short plays by Vaclav Havel: Audience
and Protest.
Richard Jackson (Director) has directed at many venues around the Twin Cities including Lakeshore, Bloomington Civic, and the Eden Prairie Community Theatre. He is the Associate Artistic Director for Starting Gate Productions where he recently directed Death of a Salesman and Equus.
Paul McGlynn (Vanek) has acted with Lakeshore Players, the Guthrie Lab, Heart of the Beast, Theatre in the Round, and the Famous One Abbey Theater. He appeared as Harley in Lex-Ham's Talley and Son.
Thom Pinault (The Foreman and Stanek) has acted for the past twenty-five years with various Twin Cities theater organizations including Theater in the Round, Park Square, Chimera Theater, and Theater Latté Da. His favorite roles include Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof and Charlie Now in Da.

6:30 - 7:00 p.m., a reception/seminar on Havel and his literary work led by
Dr. Josef Mestenhauser, Czech Honorary Consul in Minnesota. Cash bar and appetizer
buffet.
7:30 p.m. - performance of Audience and Protest

Moderated discussion by Carla Steen, a Guthrie Theater dramaturg, to follow
the plays.
